华人与吃

I found this article from Monday paper. It was so interesting to figure that we as Chinese have such a deep connection with eat.
Chinese always say: 民以食为天. Take me as an example la, but it is not exaggerate at all if u see these below.
谋生叫糊口、工作叫饭碗、受雇叫混饭、辛苦叫吃力、亏损叫吃亏、不正常叫吃错药、靠女人养活叫吃软饭、靠积蓄过日子叫吃老本、混得好叫吃得开、占女人便宜叫吃豆腐、女人漂亮叫秀色可餐、受人重用叫吃香、考零分叫吃鸡蛋、不顾他人叫独食、没人理会叫吃闭门羹、有苦难言叫哑吧吃黄莲、嫉妒叫吃醋、贪污叫吃钱、乘违法楷油叫黑吃黑、收入太少叫吃不饱、身担大事叫吃不消、找到工作叫有头路吃。。。
Even when you wanna scold a people you can also say 吃大便!!!
So Chinese, admit that we all love to eat!
Raise your champagne, To eat! 敬吃的!
